Our client is a full service Investment Management and Advisory group with companies in Bermuda and Cayman seeking an individual to join a team of energetic and committed professionals as Investment Operations Manager. This is a key management position accountable for the efficient running of our operations for both our Bermuda and Cayman offices.



Salary - $95K USD Base

Responsibilities
Responsibilities and Duties include: -

· Compliance with both local and overseas regulatory authorities including account documentation, good cooperative relation and maintenance of legal and regulatory files.
· Design, development, auditing and testing of systems and processes to ensure operational efficiencies.
· Management of trading and securities clearance globally by developing procedure to ensure transactions are processed properly as well as investigating/ resolving process issue.
· Global correspondent relations by liaising with traders and brokers; reconciliation of client position custodied with correspondents; negotiate pricing of services provided by correspondents to ensure company profitability.
· Manage all back office functions with clients two offices.
· Manage Operations staff (e.g. hiring, coaching and training, performance reviews and organization of workflow).

Requirements
Minimum requirements include: -

· A degree in finance or economics preferred with seven years experience in investment operations including five years in a management capacity (e.g. staff management and development).
· Possession of the Canadian Securities Course, CFA level l or equivalent investment qualification.
· Minimum three years experience in development of systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions.
· Minimum three years experience in successfully managing operations in compliance with global regulatory requirements.
· Thorough knowledge of AIMR & GIPS Compliant Performance Measurement, investment vehicles and investment transactions.
· Five years experience with account reconciliations and production of portfolio valuations.
· Knowledge of investigating and resolving transaction process problems.
· Experience creating and maintaining complex Crystal Reports.
· Strong analytical skills, good business sense and excellent communication skills.
· Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced challenging environment, meeting deadlines as necessary.
· The ability to work overtime at month end, quarter end and for after-hours system testing and release.
